Description
To provide skills in website content management and in the basic use of a range of web technologies enabling graduates to provide support services for an organisation's website.
To provide fundamental information technology skills for school leavers and industry entrants wishing to gain entry level competencies to work in an online environment or pursue further study in this area.

VET Info Notes
1. This training program has, where possible, drawn competencies from
the Information Technology
Training Package ICA99.
2. There are currently no nationally endorsed competencies in the area
of the online environment,
internet and web development. ANTA has recognised this gap and
consequently the IT&T ITAB
is in the process of developing additional competencies for the IT
Training Package ICA99. It is
anticipated that these will not be completed until late in 2001.
3. The qualification title is in line with the nomenclature of the
Information Technology Training
Package ICA99.
4. The copyright for the course rests with Central TAFE. Copyright for
the ICA Units of competence
and the PRM Unit of competence rests with Australian Training
Products. Copyright for
the modules 69373 and 69375 rests with Midland College of TAFE. The
remainder of the modules
rests with Central TAFE. Training providers who wish to deliver
this program must obtain
written approval from the proponent and be registered by their State
accrediting body.
