Description

To provide the theory, underpinning knowledge and practical skills to produce documentation suitable for obtaining a building permit and for the on site construction of Class 2 to 9 Commercial Building Projects, building Types "B" and "C", in accordance with the provisions of Volume 1 of the Building Code of Australia.

Graduates will have developed specialist skills in:

Design;
Site Surveys;
Construction Technology;
Materials;
2D and 3D Computer Aided Drafting;
Project Administration;
Digital Presentation;
Commercial Working Drawings.

Graduates can gain employment as drafters of commercial projects (as well as residential projects) with Architects, Builders, Building Designers or Project Administrators and will be eligible to enrol in the Advanced Diploma.
