Description

The primary educational outcome for the Certificate IV in Academic Preparation Studies is the development of the academic skills that enable students to undertake effective further study at a tertiary level. The course aims to provide learners with the ability to:
1. Apply academic conventions to meet tertiary requirements in a range of subject disciplines.
2. Communicate effectively in academic contexts including tutorial, class and lecture groups.
3. Implement planning and organisational structures across an academic course of study.
4. Confidently undertake academic tasks requiring the use of information technology.
5. Apply academic research and investigation skills in a range of subject disciplines.
6. Apply knowledge and skills in a range of academic disciplines to complete extended tasks and processes.
