Description

The Advanced Diploma of Visual Art & Craft provides specialised training for creative careers at professional levels.

The qualification prepares individuals for contemporary practice as visual artists or craft designer/makers and related practices.
Specific pathways are offered in painting, printmedia, digital art, ceramics and sculpture, supported by core skills and knowledge in professional practice, drawing and visual culture. Elective units provide opportunities to focus on acquiring studio competencies in selected areas, or to explore a range of multi/interdisciplinary projects.

The program develops essential expertise in concept development, design problem-solving, creative strategies and critical skills, holistic project management, art techniques and technologies, as well as integrating theory with practice. The Advanced Diploma of Visual Art & Craft represents a range and mix of competencies that are considered critical to contemporary arts practice.
