Description
To provide:
- an accredited training program for people wishing to pursue
a range of occupations associated with the sport and
recreation industry; and
- conduct activities as a recreation officer, outdoor activities
officer, adventure tour guide or eco-tour guide at outdoor
recreation centre, built and mobile facilities/camps and with
adventure companies

3. ELECTIVES
OUTDOOR RECREATION PERSONAL SKILLS ELECTIVES Learners must select a minimum of 160 hours. Electives should be chosen from both the Personal skills area as well as the Guiding/Instructional area. Students should choose electives in such a way as to achieve competencies to the level of Guide/Instructor in at least two activity areas. The following are the preferred electives for this stream, but learners may elect to study modules from other areas which support their work placement.
