Description
To provide a program of study which leads to an accredited qualification for
those working in roles related to Transport Operations.
These workers are typically in roles which include a broad range of skills that
require the performance of highly complex tasks. They are considered to
possess advanced skills and be autonomous workers, however they are not
considered to be para-professionals.
The broad scope and range of topics covered reflects the multi-faceted
functions of these workers. The course attempts to recognise the diverse
contexts in which they are involved. It seeks to offer a grounding in many
theoretical areas and in the development of knowledge that provides
understanding of broader organisational links. This approach attempts to open
up further career opportunities in the transport industry.
