State Implementation and Classification
Description
To provide the student with technical training
equivalent to 1A and 1B of the TAFE segment of the
Apprenticeship courses in Solid Plastering, Wall &
Ceiling Fixing and Wall & Floor Tiling.
To enhance skill development in all aspects of the
trades enabling the student to equal the level of
training of an Industrial Apprentice who has
completed one year of an apprenticeship.
To provide training and skills in related areas
which may be advantageous in gaining employment
within the plastering trades.

To be eligible for this award, the student must
reach a pass standard in all subjects in this
course.
2 NEW APPRENTICE TRAINING AND ASSESSMENT SCHEME (NATAS)
For an apprentice to be eligible for a
DEPARTMENT OF EMPLOYMENT AND TRAINING TRADE
CERTIFICATE, the apprentice must have achieved
the competencies as determined by the rules of the
appropriate Trade Training Schedule (TTS).
Achievement of College-listed competencies for
each apprentice, as listed in the TTS, is to be
recorded on the appropriate Trade Training
Schedule Assessment forms.
The Division of Industrial Training (DIT) will
require a completed College assessment report at
the conclusion of the apprentice's College
training. This report is to be forwarded to DIT prior to the close of
College business in the year of completion to obtain a pass standard in all
subjects.
