ELECTIVES

1 Students are required to choose sufficient electives to total at least
119 hours.

2 Elective subjects may be chosen from the TAFE Agriculture courses OR any
other relevant study area to the student.

An Agricultural Training Officer is defined, in the Award
Restructuring for Agricultural Schools and Colleges
document, in the State Research Stations Agricultural
Schools and Colleges Award dated February 1991.

Completion of the course will allow Agricultural Training
Officers to progress to Level 4 by combining
demonstrating and interpersonal skills with wide
knowledge of various aspects of agriculture.

This, combined with skills acquisition, is detailed in
other areas of the award, and will enable Agricultural
Training Officers to become more versatile, and move
readily from section to section, and between schools.
