State Implementation and Classification
Description
To provide participants with the skills, knowledge and opportunities to be able
to:
-derive enjoyment from learning and to organise themselves for study as a
life-long pursuit
-accelerate the rate of learning in terms of improving knowledge and skill and
to be able to be successful in the transfer and application of that knowledge
and skill within another study area, personal life, occupation or industry
level and be more highly skilled in order to perform at the standard of
performance required
-further motivate students towards studies, developing skills in speed reading,
memory, advanced note-taking, essay planning, stress management and correct
study methods to enhance learning performance and outcomes
-develop and enhance strategies for remembering information delivered and
transferring that information to real situations including personal and working
life
-build effective learning strategies to efficiently learn new material, develop
more than one approach to reading and develop strategies to gain information
from demonstrations, simulations, group discussions, lectures and reading
-explore and develop effective techniques for cooperative learning which
encapsulates the spirit and skill of teamwork and collaboration, the ability to
set common goals, perform interrelated tasks and accept shared responsibility
for planning, decision making and goal achievement in study, work and personal
life.
