Description
The Certificate II in Dance was devised after consultation with the dance community. It is an enhancement and enrichment course additional to the dance curricula given in a wide variety of public and private, secondary level institutions. As a part-time course run in conjunction with other dance curricula, the Certificate II in Dance offers students a means of benchmarking their skills with peers who have a similar focus and desire to pursue dance at a professional level. At the same time, the program acts as preparation for entry requirements to tertiary dance courses, eg. Advanced Diploma of Performing Arts (Dance) or BA (Dance). The training focuses on the foundational competency skills and underpinning knowledge required for students who wish to pursue professional dance training at a tertiary level.
