Description
This pilot program is designed for people who want to pursue a career in computer animation or wish to develop skills in animation for the Internet.
The program is structured to provide basic drawing and animation training and the development of digital animation applications from drawn models.
The program provides a foundation for further studies in Interactive Multimedia.

GENERAL NOTES
This course was piloted while accreditation procedures were being undertaken.
Due to the imminent introduction of the relevant Training Package (expected to
be endorsed by ANTA during 1999), the formal accreditation procedures for this
course were suspended.
Students who commenced or completed the pilot delivery of this course should
not be disadvantaged and may qualify for the award upon application to their
appropriate training provider.
Future delivery of this course may not be necessary as the employment outcomes
achieved by the course may be obtained by selection of appropriate Units of
Competence (UOC) from an ICA99 training package qualification, when it is
finally endorsed for use in WA by the Department of Training and Employment.
Where UOC are selected from a training package qualification, a Statement of
Attainment will be issued to the student advising them of the selected UOC they
have achieved. A qualification under the training package will only be awarded
when a student completes enough UOC to meet the full requirements for a
training package qualification (ie, ICA40499), as detailed in the training
package's guidelines.
