Description
10730NAT Certificate IV in Spoken and Written English for Further Study is a component of the Certificates in Spoken and Written English (CSWE), English as an additional language (EAL) curriculum framework. It is an advanced course for learners who have had formal or informal exposure to English and who have already developed an intermediate level of English language competence, but require ongoing English language learning opportunities. It provides English language learning for EAL learners who need to develop advanced language skills to participate in a range of further study contexts.
This course is intended to provide participants with the following general education outcomes:
- English language proficiency at the equivalent of International Second Language Proficiency Ratings (ISLPR®) 3+, International English Language Testing System (IELTS) 6.0 or Common European Framework (CEFR) C1.
Schedule
- one (1) core unit
- five (5) electives:
- one (1) elective unit must be chosen from Group A
- the remaining four (4) elective units can be selected from any group
- a maximum of one (1) unit may be chosen from Group C.
