Description
The Certificate IV in Fashion & Textile Design provides an introduction to the essential skills and knowledge required to function in the broad field of fashion and textiles design. Graduates of the Certificate IV will be skilled in the creative use of technologies such as computer software and industrial sewing machines, and will be able to apply the basic principles of fashion making marketing. Graduates will also be practised at research, concept development, design development, figure drawing and design drawing, design pattern making, designing and producing a range of printed textiles, garment design and construction, applying theoretical knowledge including the history of fashion and textiles, and locating textile sources.
