Description
To give students an understanding of the "European"
styles of working with flowers that have been
developed in Europe - especially in Holland and
Germany - in the last 20 years.
To enable students to recognise the groupings into
which these designs may be categorised, and to
distinguish the characteristics of individual
styles.
To create an appreciation of textures, forms, lines and growth habits that are
essential for European design.
To give knowledge of design techniques of terracing,
clustering, layering, grouping, bundling,
landscaping and sheltering, and the ability to use
these techniques in the creation of specific
European designs.
