Description
To provide learners with:
Module 4/6: Industrial Roof Drainage Design and Installation
- An ability to correctly identify industrial roof drainage requirements
from plans and specifications.
- A review of terminology associated with industrial roof drainage
- A comprehensive overview of the various materials, fittings, tools and
equipment used to carry out industrial roof drainage.
- A detailed knowledge of the installation requirements for industrial
roof drainage and a practical understanding of installation methods and
techniques.
- A demonstrable ability to design industrial roof drainage systems for
specified roof types (from supplied plans)
- A comprehensive revision of regulations and standards applicable to
industrial roof drainage, including: AS2179 and AS2180.
- A detailed knowledge of sheetmetal fabrication techniques and methods;
and an ability to apply them to fabrication of industrial roof drainage
components and assembly of industrial roof drainage systems.
- A demonstrated ability to correctly install industrial roof drainage
for designated roof areas and commercial buildings.
