To extend skills and knowledge obtained in
Engineering Materials 1 and Engineering Materials 2
Mechanical.

To enable the student to predict the behaviour of commonly used engineering
materials by a suitable program of laboratory work involving materials testing
procedures.

One two-hour examination 70%

A minimum of three laboratory tests to be completed
and written up in line with the formal report
writing procedures of the study area.

A pass is required in both examination and
laboratory work.
