To teach tradespersons the operating principles of
the two major categories of petrol fuel injection,
and to develop testing and diagnosing skills.

A pass is required in BOTH components.
Theory
Written examination of two hours' duration. Questions are to be based on the
objectives contained in this syllabus. 50%
Assignment
The assignments are to be set to cover or enhance areas of importance that may
not be examined. Where a topic is of significance to the subject material, it
should be covered by an assignment or other suitable enhancement method. If
more than one assignment is set, the marks are to be
averaged. 20%
Practical
Practical projects are to complement the theoretical concepts. The practical
assessment is to be based on averaging all the practical projects that are
set, to reinforce the theory
component. 30%
