To further the students' knowledge in the
construction, operation and maintenance of control
equipment appropriate to operational applications.

topics: Control Actions, Controllers, Actuators and
Regulators, Setting of Controllers, Analysis of
Error and Correction, Calibration, Boiler, Diesel,
Jacket, Lubricating Oil and Bridge Control Systems,
Data Loggers.
A three-hour final examination covering Principles,
Process Control Theory, Construction, Principle of
Operation, Installation, Calibration, Testing,
Maintenance and Operation of Devices, Control
Elements, Controllers and Automatic Control and
Alarm systems for Marine Applications,
Characteristics, Applications.
A pass in both assessment components is required to
achieve a pass in the subject.
