Description
To give people who provide management support in the rural office with
knowledge and skills to perform calculations for routine business related tasks
by manual and electronic processes.
Range of Variables
This module may be offered as a flexible delivery or a home study unit, with
tutorials available if required. Learners are asked to complete pre-test
material, for which model answers are provided. Further work may be required
where difficulty is experienced.

Calculations with rural applications are attempted in sections, with each
section assessed separately. Tutoring should be provided where difficulty is
experienced.

Examples, illustrations and exercises should relate to practical rural
situations.
