This unit describes the skills and knowledge to engage with simple, familiar and predictable paper and digital texts for personal purposes. It requires the ability to identify, read and interpret information in personally relevant texts.
The required outcomes described in this unit contribute to the achievement of Australian Core Skills Framework indicators for Reading at Level 2: 2.03, 2.04.
This unit applies to learners seeking to improve their personal literacy skills by developing simple reading and communication skills by engaging with texts. Learners at this level may request support and begin to develop their own support resources.
