To provide the learners with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to be able to begin to address alcohol and other drug problems in a Primary Health Care framework.
Alcohol and drug-related problems are complex and there is no one simple solution. This subject is an introductory subject to the field. If health workers choose to work as a specialist alcohol and other drug worker that pathway within the curriculum framework is advised.
