Description
To provide a series of lectures, workshops and
discussions which will qualify passing students for
the purchase of Ma and Mb categories of personnel
tests from The Australian Council for Educational
Research (ACER), or similar level tests from other
ethical suppliers.
To develop competence in the selection,
administration, scoring and interpretation of test
instruments used in the field of human resource
management.

Workbook exercises requiring test scoring,
calculation of centile ranks, measures of central
tendency, dispersion, and standard scores,
construction of score profiles, calculation of
measures of reliability and validity, construction
of symmetrical and symmetrical bands about an
obtained score. (20%)
One objective test comprising at least 50 multiple-
choice, true/false, and/or simple calculation
items. (20%)
Examination
One two-hour examination which may require a student to carry out statistical
calculations covered by an area of the course, as well as essay answers to
demonstrate comprehension. (60%)
