Description
To provide learner with:

Module 10: Basic Plan Reading and Levelling

- An ability to identify and interpret various building and construction
plans.
- An ability to extract necessary information from various building and
construction plans.
- An ability to correctly identify and select all necessary tools and
equipment to undertake basic levelling.
- A demonstrated ability to wear and use all necessary protective
clothing and equipment.
- An ability to set up and correctly use a water level to transfer
heights to within tolerance specified (plus five mm).
- An ability to accurately transfer heights and levels with a straight
edge and split level to within tolerance specified in correct location (plus
five mm).
- An ability to ascertain, mark and transfer levels using various
methods in specified locations.
- An ability to correctly maintain and store all tools and equipment on
completion of work.

Module 2/1: Plan Reading (Services)

- A detailed understanding of information relating to pipe services
which may be derived from various building plans, including:
- Sanitary plumbing
- Water pipelines
- Mechanical services pipelines
- Isometric, schematic and diagrammatic layouts
- Symbols and legends.
- An ability to correctly identify pipe services on plans.
- An ability to extract relevant information on pipe services from
supplied plans.
- A practical ability to apply information extracted from supplied plans.
