Description
To extend learners' knowledge of agencies, organisations and programs, which provide services for women.
To provide opportunities for learners to apply skills and knowledge acquired in classroom-based modules.
To provide opportunities for learners to apply skills and knowledge acquired in classroom-based modules.
Range of Variables
Fieldwork should be regarded as an essential component of training and a cooperative venture between the training provider and the industry which is of benefit to both parties.
Learners should be placed in an agency, organisation or program providing services for women experiencing legal problems for a total of 180 hours.
Close liaison should be maintained between field supervisors, fieldwork coordinators and fieldwork tutors.
Learners should be given as much opportunity as possible during placement to experience client contact.
Ethical practice should be maintained and emphasised in all aspects of fieldwork.
Guidelines for TAFE Community Advocacy learners undertaking fieldwork placement as outlined in the Fieldwork Placement manual should be adhered to at all times.
