To provide learners with the opportunity to demonstrate an integration of
knowledge and skills acquired through earlier study and work experience. It is
an opportunity to explore design concepts using computer software applications.

Range of Variables
An important characteristic of this module is the opportunity it presents for
self-directed learning, and/or by way of normal classroom group teaching. This
aspect will depend upon a learner’s ability and /or the requirements of a
particular student group.
Strategies should be selected to reflect the nature of the learning outcomes
and the needs of the participant/s.
Some areas of content may be common to more than one learning outcome and
therefore integration may be appropriate.
This module contains learning outcomes that require theory instruction under
standard classroom conditions and practical instruction. The theory component
will be assessed at the end of the instructional period when learners are
required to sit for a closed book theory test.
Suggested time allocation for each learning outcome including testing:
