Description
This unit describes the listening and writing performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required by adult learners of English as an additional language.
The focus of this unit is on advanced listening skills in English to participate in further study contexts, focusing on taking notes from complex and extended aural texts.
The outcomes described in this unit relate to:
- The ISLPR (International Second Language Proficiency Ratings) descriptors for Speaking and Listening. They contribute directly to the achievement of Speaking 3/3+ and Listening 3/3+
and
- the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF). They contribute directly to the achievement of ACSF indicators of competence in Oral Communication at Level 4.
