opportunities available for people with disabilities, as well as offering a
range of strategies to support and maintain people with disabilities in their
chosen form of occupation and recreation.
Range of Variables
Some of the assessment methods for this module will be "on-the-job" ie, during
field placement, as well as college based assessment.

In order to meet some of the learning outcomes students will be required to
arrange visits to agencies providing services in the areas of occupation and
recreation.

Some of the assessment methods may involve group activities/presentations.

At all times during the teaching of this module, a values based approach
towards people with disabilities should be stressed. The emphasis should be on
providing people with disabilities the opportunity to access generic community
