Practical Objectives
It is recommended that
students carry out the
listed practical objectives
(P) to reinforce the lesson
material. The evaluation of student performance with practical projects
being a guide to the effectiveness of the lesson programme.
The practical mark is to be
an assessment of the
students attitude,
involvement and interest
throughout each stage of
training and is to be
expressed as a percentage.

in a training situation.
Assessment of objectives to
incorporate aspects of the
apprentices
- practical level skill development
- application to task (as reflected in the number of tasks
completed)
- correct use of equipment and safe working practices
Theory
One 2 hour examination paper at the end of the block.
The examination will
comprise of:
75 objective type questions
I. mark each 75 marks
5 short essay type
questions (choice from
six) 5 marks each 25
marks
The questions shall be weighted in proportion to the subject time allocation.
Practical
Progressive assessment throughout the block.
Privileged Re-examination,
Available
Privileged Re-examination May be granted on the recommendation of a Board of
Review, when the practical assessment is satisfactory.
The privileged
re-examination will be a two
hour paper.
The examination will
comprise of:
75 objective type questions
I. mark each 75 marks
5 short essay type
questions (choice of six)
5 marks each 25 marks
The questions shall be
weighted in proportion to
the subject time allocation.
