Description
To introduce the student to identification,
cultivation, production and marketing of a wide
range of vegetable crops grown in Western Australia.
To develop the practical skills of land preparation,
planting, harvesting and storage of vegetable crops.
To develop an awareness of the environmental,
climatic and economic factors needed to be
considered, to allow selection and establishment of
a viable vegetable-growing enterprise.
To introduce students to the general information
sources related to vegetable production, including
specialist advice.
To introduce students to hydroponic and organic-
growing methods of vegetable production.
