Description
To provide students with a knowledge of construction principles, standards and
services commonly used in single storey residential buildings.
Range of Variables
This module contains learning outcomes which will require various delivery modes but which may include class instruction, field studies and practical drawing/sketching work relating to a building project/s studied in common with other modules.
Evidence Guide
A selection of the following methods can be used:

- Short Answer Written Tests
- Short Detail Drawing (mechanical/freehand)
Tests
- Construction drawings and/or details for a
specific project in common with other modules
- Essay/photographic reports
- Construction models.

Normal learning will take place in the classroom/drawing studio, building
construction sites and other learning environments. Drawing boards and/or work stations with suitable lighting should be provided. All other equipment to be provided by the student.
