The demands of any assessment task should be no more than required to
demonstrate competency. Demonstration requires assessment of the task during
performance as well as evaluation of the product.

Although each of the learning outcomes indicate specific assessment criteria, a
holistic approach is favoured in assessment of the module and the assessments
indicated are to be integrated into an assessment of the total module wherever
possible including:

-one research paper
-one set of practical supervised demonstration exercises.

Where practicable, assessment tasks should relate to the participant's
vocational focus
