Description
To provide the participant with the knowledge and skills to:
- identify and predict fire growth in order to contain and
conduct suppression operations.
- lead and co-ordinate rescue operations.
- lead, direct and monitor subordinate firefighting
activities at an aircraft accident and/or incident.
- apply the correct strategy and tactics.
- identify likely hazards and protect the crew from injury.
- liaise and deploy other agencies at an emergency.
- identify pertinent aircraft types and list all features
relevant to aviation firefighting.
- interpret and implement Civil Aviation regulations and
orders.
