Description
To introduce the learners to the course and begin to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes of the role of the Aboriginal Health Worker.

To provide an overview of paradigms of health and including the Primary Health Care approach.

The learners will develop professional skills and an understanding of a range of generic professional issues which will enable them to work effectively with clients in Aboriginal Community and mainstream service settings.

The competencies in this module are pre-requisites to all other modules. It is anticipated that this subject will be offered as part of an orientation program for new participants with Introduction to Tertiary Studies.
