Description
This unit describes the performance outcomes, knowledge and skills required to manage the security infrastructure for an organisation. It includes assessing risk, implementing appropriate controls, monitoring their effectiveness and compiling reports for future audit purposes.
It requires the ability to monitor and evaluate the physical security infrastructure of the organisation, and implement a security infrastructure maintenance program.
This unit applies to individuals who work as cyber security technicians and who manage, monitor and evaluate the organisation’s security infrastructure as part of a team.
No licensing or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of accreditation.
