Description
To provide the participants with the knowledge, skills and attitudes to enable them to identify government decision-making processes and appeal mechanisms and support women to challenge decisions made by State and Commonwealth Departments.
Range of Variables
This unit is intended to prepare participants for direct service delivery. The emphasis is on practical and experiential learning. Lecturers should preferably be experienced as para-legal advocates and be able to draw on personal experience and case material in order to demonstrate the use of para-legal skills and knowledge. Lecturers must provide up-to-date information on the legislation and therefore must b prepared to research and ensure they include any changes which may be of relevance to this curruculum.
