Description
To encourage students to trust and develop their
instinctive aural ability.

To focus students' listening skills, providing a
sound base for performance and theoretical
knowledge.

To develop listening and sight-reading skills of the student, through graded
exercises, and through the blues repertoire covered in Ensemble Performance.

To provide the opportunity for students to regularly
practise aural skills, with immediate feedback.

Tests to consist of a number of sections which are
comprised of a series of objective questions. Some
answers to be written, others vocalised, within a
comfortable range.

Continuous assessment of participation in

Participation includes punctuality, willingness to
take risks, personal practice and folio of weekly
exercises.
