Description
To provide the learner with a working knowledge of the main health problems in
Australia today, and to discuss issues which will form part of the daily work
of a future health professional.

To introduce the learner to some aspects of epidemiology and biostatistics.

To consider the current changes in attitude towards community health.

This module would be most effectively delivered in a classroom setting.

This module is to be assessed internally and by external examination, using
competence to complete each concept, as a measure of learner achievement.

Internal Assessment

Two tests - 20% each 40%
One tutorial 20%

Examination

One two-hour written paper 40%

A pass in BOTH components is required.
