Description
This unit describes the speaking and listening performance outcomes, skills and knowledge required by adult learners of English as an additional language. It focuses on listening and speaking skills to participate in simple conversations and discussions on everyday topics, and to engage in routine transactions related to personal consumption of goods and services.
The outcomes described in this unit relate to:
- The ISLPR (International Second Language Proficiency Ratings) descriptors for Speaking and Listening. They contribute directly to the achievement of ISLPR Speaking 2 and Listening 2
and
- the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF). They contribute directly to the achievement of ACSF indicators of competence in Oral Communication at Level 2.
