Description
To build on the knowledge gained in Business
Computer Applications A to enable students to
compare alternative software and hardware solutions
to computerised problems likely to be faced in the
business environment.

To introduce students to more advanced uses of
computers and information processing they are likely
to encounter in the workplace.

To make students aware of the social and security
aspects of computers in the workplace.

Internal assessment of practical mastery 50%
Two hour examination 50%

Students must pass both the internal assessment and
the examination to pass the subject.

1 Internal assessment component should consist of tests of mastery of
the various computer applications and packages used in the 34 hour practical
lessons.

2 The two-hour examination should consist of multiple-choice questions
and short to medium length written answers on the theoretical component (17
hours of theory lessons).

3 The examination should also examine practical aspects of the syllabus
