This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to meet the financial responsibilities of a frontline leader in the disability sector. It covers managing resources, budgeting and financial forecasting to achieve the required objectives of an organisation providing services to National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and fee-paying participants.

The skills in this unit must be applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State/Territory legislation, Australian standards and industry codes of practice.

Prepare to manage finances
  • 1.1 Research the NDIS system, framework and practices for current funding, pricing and reporting requirements
  • 1.2 Confirm financial recording requirements according to organisational policies and procedures
