Project

Individual or group. Examine the recreation/leisure interests of a particular
group, within the Aboriginal community (e.g. young children, school children,
disabled, elderly, obese, etc).

Discuss how their needs differ from
other groups based on age, fitness,
access to other resources, time
available, social/developmental needs,
etc.

Explore resources/facilities available. Suggest what changes you think are
needed, how these changes could come about.

Short talk in class

Prepare a short talk (with a brief
handout to other class members) on a
topic related to recreation and health.

Think about the question: "What makes a person employable?" Investigate
from a number of different viewpoints e.g. job requirements, personnel managers
from industry/Government (guest speakers), C.E.S., employment agencies, etc.,
unemployed people.
