Description
To introduce students to the identification,
cultivation, production and marketing of vine crops
in WA.

To enable students to develop practical skills
associated with commercial vine crop production to
industry standards.

To develop students' ability to evaluate proposed
and existing viticulture projects.

To introduce students to information sources and
research principles used in viticulture.

To investigate machinery and equipment used in
viticulture.

One two-hour written divisional examination 30%
Internal Assessment 70%

The student must pass in BOTH components
to achieve a pass in the subject.

Final Examination

One two-hour examination, which will include:

Multiple choice or other one-word answer type
questions 5% Short-answer (1-2 sentences) questions
10%

Internal Assessment

Will be divided as follows:

Internal Tests (minimum two) 10%
Excursion Reports 20%
Practical Exercises (Participation) 20%
Assignment 1 (based on use of information
sources) 10% Assignment 2 (based on cultivation exercise of a vine
crop) 10%
