The purpose of this module is to provide the participant with an holistic view of operating a small business in Australia.

Participants will acquire a broad understanding of the multiple management roles of the owner/manager of a small business and the factors contributing to success and failure. Business planning is given particular emphasis to engender a ro-active attitude to small business management and to enable the participant to evaluate a business opportunity.

A further aim of the module is for participants to review their goals and expectations of a business opportunity and assess their suitability for small business ownership.
