Description
To provide students, having no
practical knowledge of settlement
procedures:

- with basic information and instruction on office procedures following
the receipt of an advice to act at Settlement.

- with understanding and practical skills relating to work
outside the office in general, and specifically the carrying out of searches at
the Office of Titles, other Government Offices, and the following of procedures
for attending to, and at settlement and at lodgement of documents.

A combination of essay, lists and summary answers
giving detailed explanation of principles and
practices.

The following Parliamentary Acts may be taken into the examination room and
used by students:
- Settlement Agents Act and Regulations to the Act.

The copies of the Parliamentary Acts and Regulations
should be unmarked except that the following marks are
permitted:
- amendments may be made;
- underlining and highlighting is permitted;
- a cross-reference to another section may be made by
writing the number of that section against any other section.
