shall be calculated by averaging the
module tests marks for all tests
outlined in this TE78 for this stage.
A 50% pass must be obtained in each
module test.
Practical Assessment 100%
Mastery of practical objectives for
each module. A satisfactory mark in
the practical area will be met by the
student achieving a pass by continuous
cumulative assessment in the nominated
practical projects for each module.
The final practical mark shall be the
average of all practical assessments.
Certificate of Trade Studies
Awarded Mark
To be eligible for a pass in the
Certificate of Trade Studies mark, the
student must obtain a pass in the
average of the module tests, and a pass
standard in the practical assessment.
CTS = Theory (90%) + Assignment (10%) = 100%
PRACTICAL
= 100%
Privileged Re-Examination
A privileged re-examination may be
offered by the Superintendent of the
study area, acting on advice from the
relevant Board of Review.
In general, it is recommended that only
one re-test for a given module be
offered within the course attendance
period (where time permits). Any
subsequent re-testing in tutorial
periods will be at the discretion of
the college.
