To provide apprentices with an understanding of the
Theoretical Principles of Trade Drawing, Trade
Calculations, Fabrication Techniques, Gas Metal Arc

Certificate of Trade Studies (CTS)
To be eligible for the CTS an apprentice must obtain
a pass standard in the CTS percentage for each
stage.
The following formula is used to determine the CTS percent.
CTS % = 0.25 (Drawing) + 0.75 (Welding Theory)
