Description
To ensure that learners are able to perform the skills as outlined in the
previous modules of the course.

Range of Variables
Delivery to take place in a classroom/workshop or a suitable workplace and on

- ready access to a suitable range of the materials (as listed in the
Resources) in sufficient quantity for the learners to observe the equipment and
practise the skills required
- access to National Plumbing and Drainage Code AS 3500 Part 1 - Water

- ready access to sites with operational irrigation equipment to observe

- ready access to suitable sites to install a simple irrigation system.
To allow credible competency-based training and assessment the class size MUST
NOT exceed fifteen students.

This subject is to be assessed internally using competence as a measure of
learner achievement.
The learner is required to demonstrate competency in each of the learning
outcomes in line with the assessment method shown.
Assessment will be based on an appropriate selection of the following methods:
- short oral explanations of procedures
- longer written and/or oral tests and/or
- practical demonstration of the skills required as outlined in Urban
Irrigation Installers Course - Module 6.
This subject is to be assessed internally using competence as a measure of
