Evidence Guide
Internal Assessment 100%

Assessment is the gathering of evidence of successful performance.

The assessment should focus on the learning outcome not on individual
assessment criteria. Assessment criteria are indicators of successful
performance of the learning outcome.

A holistic approach to assessment is desirable, ie. a single assessment
instrument may assess more than one learning outcome. For example, a workplace
project may assess both the planning and execution of a task(s).

Examples of assessment instruments include, but are not restricted to:

- practical exercises - practical tasks based on production activities
- observation checklists
- oral questioning
- demonstration - demonstrate competency in carrying out the task

Normal work environment or area established for the purpose of on-the-job
assessment.

Training facility which includes simulated work conditions.
