Description
To develop the use of mathematical skills to solve problems relevant to the student's own life. To develop confidence on gaining relevant information and weighing options in personal financial planning and decisions.
To prepare students for pre-employment tests. Students will be able to calculate tax, compare and contrast different pay structures.
To prepare students to be able to use metric terms and measurement, read simple graphs, maps and timetables, and perform simple calculations using estimation techniques and an electronic calculator.

Range of Variables
The delivery of this module will be in a classroom or on field trips, visits as relevant. Teaching should be a combination of pair and group work, individual work and teacher based learning. Negotiation of topics should be encouraged.
