Description
To provide learners with:
Module 5: Workplace Communication
- An ability to identify the safety signs relevant to building sites,
buildings and workshops.
- An ability to identify signs appropriate to given building sites,
workshops and general hazards; as per AS 1216.1, AS 1318 and AS 1319.
- An ability to receive and act upon verbal and written instructions.
- A practical understanding of work place signage.
- An ability to convey information simply and clearly to others in the
workplace.
- An ability to follow correct meeting procedures.
- An ability to conduct negotiations to achieve a constructive outcome.
- An ability to identify the meaning of terms and terminology commonly
used in the building and construction industry.
- An ability to identify the roles of specified personnel and/or
professions/trades within industry.
- An ability to correctly complete basic reports, complete timesheets
and undertake associated calculations.
